Rights of users

The creation of this account will enable you to:

• Create a profile, as an individual or as an organization, where you portray your interests and background
• Upload resources to the RRI Toolkit
• Create personalized lists of RRI resources and members of the Community of Practice
• Participate in the Discussion Forums of RRI Tools

Conditions for users

By signing up to the RRI Tools’ Community of practice, you agree to the following conditions:

1. Behaviour of users

When using the different channels that RRI Tools makes available for its users (personal or organizational profiles, resource pages and discussion forums), you hold the following personal compromises:

• Responsibility – You take responsibility for your edits (RRI Tools only hosts your content).
• Civility – You support a civil environment and do not harass other users.
• Lawful Behavior – You do not violate copyright or other laws; you acknowledge that all contents uploaded by you are yours or you have permission from the authors/owners and from people, if any, whose image appears in photographs, to upload them and license them under the site conditions (see “Licensing of Contents” below)
• No Harm – You do not harm RRI Tools technology infrastructure.
• No Professional Advice – the content of the RRI Tools’ resources is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.

​2. Revision and edition of contents (non-personal data)

• You agree to subject the resource you are uploading to a revision by the RRI Tools Evaluation Committee, which will ensure that it complies with the RRI Toolkit’ Quality Standards, as followed from “D 1.3 Quality Criteria” and “D 1.1 Working definition of RRI”
• RRI Tools reserves the right to edit, change or delete contents which are not found appropriate or in concordance with the contents that the platform rri-tools.eu must host.

3. Licensing of Contents (non-personal data)

• You License freely your contributions –under the same free and open license that rules the whole site (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International). Under this license, you allow users to
  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material
  • And the licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as users follow the license terms.

• Attribution: Attribution is an important part of these licenses. Give credits where they are due, and you will be given credit when it is due.
• No revocation of license: Except as consistent with your license, you agree that you will not unilaterally revoke or seek invalidation of any license that you have granted under these Terms of Use.

4. Personal data

• You accept that the personal data you upload (in your profile) is shown publicly in the context of rri-tools.eu. These data are the following:
  • Name
  • Picture
  • Contact information
  • Background and interests
• The data provided via this form are collected in the context of the European project RRI Tools (Contract Number 612393), managed by a consortium of companies and organizations throughout the European Union, which is coordinated by "la Caixa" Foundation (Spain) and includes the entities in the list below. You acknowledge that you have consulted the full list of companies comprising the consortium prior to submission of this form.
• You authorize each and every one of the organizations that make part of the RRI Tools Project to process your personal data for, and only for, the following purposes:
  • To send you information on RRI Tools activities and project updates, both as general newsletters and specific communications, and both from the RRI Tools coordinators and from any of the RRI Tools' partners
  • To send you information about the opportunity to participate in RRI Tools activities, either in face-to-face format (workshops, seminars, etc.) or online, via the Internet (contributions to the contents of the RRI Tools website, participation in surveys, etc.)

• RRI Tools commits to provide (at rri-tools.eu) easy and direct ways of editing, changing or deleting the information uploaded by users. As well, regarding the personal data you provide, you may at any time exercise your rights to access, amend, delete and oppose your data and its usage by sending the appropriate request to the following address: RRI Tools Team, Department of Research and Knowledge, "la Caixa" Banking Foundation, Avinguda Diagonal 621, 08028, Barcelona, Spain.
