The SOPs4RI project

The SOPs4RI Toolbox is a structured collection of easy-to-use Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines that Research Performing and Research Funding Organisations can freely use to develop Research Integrity Promotion Plans, customised to their needs.

(*) The Toolbox is still work in progress and will continue to grow. Until December 2022 it will keep expanding with many more tools, part of them being created by the SOPs4RI consortium. The current version is v3.0 (last updated 23 June 2021). Next update at the end of 2021.

For Research Performing Organisations

Topics to be addressed by RPOs - A description of the 9 topics to be addressed in a research integrity promotion plan - Guideline for Promoting Research Integrity In Research Performing Organisations

Research Integrity tools for RPOs - The SOPs4RI Toolbox is a structured collection of easy-to-use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines that Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) can use to develop their own Research Integrity Promotion Plans (RIPPs). The SOPs4RI Toolbox will contain supplementary resources that can inspire policy makers to foster research integrity at the organisational level.

For Research Funding Organisations

Topics to be addressed by RFOs: Guideline for Promoting Research Integrity in Research Funding Organisations

Research Integrity tools for RFOs - Research Funding Organisations (RFOs), both public and private, are key actors in the research ecosystem and have a unique role in supporting a culture of RI. They can do this both through innovations in their working practices and by promoting appropriate policies and governance arrangements for RI in RPOs. Therefore, we encourage all RFOs to develop and implement a comprehensive Research Integrity Promotion Plan (RIPP). A RIPP addresses both internal organisation procedures and RFOs’ expectations and relations with RPOs and the research community and underpins the RIPPs being developed by RPOs. A RIPP is aligned with both national and international regulations, and can be tailored to support the mission, disciplinary focus, local context, and organisational needs of the RFO.
