SUMMARY ✎
The Engage2020 Consortium has created the Action Catalogue, a decision support tool that helps researchers, decision makers and others wanting to conduct inclusive research find the participatory methods best suited to their specific needs. To develop the catalogue, the project partners reviewed and mapped societal engagement methods and tools currently used for research and innovation in Europe and beyond. The catalogue has an intuitive search interface and contains 57 public engagement methods, with elaborate descriptions and useful tools to help current and potential users of engagement practices understand which methods will best fit different contexts.

- societal groups involved in the application
- public involvement level of the societal groups
- grand societal challenge addressed.
Each method and tool are clearly described through a factsheet (2–3 pages) containing the specific requirements for its application and examples of its use, as well as additional relevant information.
