From 31/01/2014 to 30/01/2017
PE2020 will identify, analyze and refine innovative public engagement tools and instruments for dynamic governance in the field of Science in Society. PE2020 continues the work began in the MASIS project (2010-2012), both through its consortium and by going deeper in analysing the PE tools and instruments through a systemic and contextual perspective, and contributing to the potential and transferability of new governance innovations. PE2020 will create new knowledge of the status quo and trends in the field of public engagement in science, refine innovative PE tools and instruments and propose new ones.

The project is developing:
- An up-to-date inventory of current and prospective European PE innovations - catalogue of innovative PE activities in Europe http://pe2020.eu/wp-content/uploads/sites/15/2014/02/PE2020-FINAL-D.1.1-report.pdf

- A Refined Typology of PE Tools and Instruments http://pe2020.eu/wp-content/uploads/sites/15/2014/02/D2-1-_PE2020_submission-1.pdf

- An accessible net-based PE design toolkit that helps identify, evaluate and successfully transfer innovative PE practices among European countries
