The Female Interaction Methods Toolbox is different from other user-driven innovation methods: its value-driven and benefit-oriented methods support a holistic experience that focuses on social relations, emotions and motivations. All these properties have as its main goal making female values, preferences and lifestyle operational in an innovation process.
The methods are grouped into four main sections covering different stages in the innovation process:
The tool is very user friendly and adaptable. Organisational requirements and time frames depend on context and participant numbers. Staff must have basic communication competences (e.g., leading interactive workshops) and basic technological skills (e.g., searching the internet).
Each of the four main sections (start-up, research and exploration, ideation, and framing and evaluation) are divided into goals and outputs that can be reached by following the actions, benefits, and hints and limitations provided.
